The Environment Workshop takes you from where you are now to a portfolio-ready environment piece – using the same structured approach you experienced in the Bootcamp, but going much deeper
Limited to the first 25 applicants only (See Why)
Start date: Monday, April 6, 2026 at 7:00 PM (Budapest time, CET/CEST)
Enrollment is open until March 24, 2026 at 11:59 PM (Budapest time)
Over the past 4 days, you experienced something different.
No random tutorials. No guessing what comes next. Just a clear sequence that actually led somewhere – and a finished interior environment to show for it.
That was the high-level overview of the pipeline.
The Workshop is the full version of it:
Ready to build the full thing?
5-10 Hours Per Week – Specifically Designed to Fit Around Your Job and Life
The goal of the first module is to dive even deeper into Unreal. Through a simple hands-on example, we’ll learn more about the interface and how the software works. For now, the focus is on getting comfortable with the program – not on the environment design process yet.
In this module, we’ll start exploring the environment design pipeline in greater detail – both in theory and in practice. To do this, we’ll build a photoreal, archviz-focused scene – from importing models, through lighting, all the way to dialing in the final look and mood of the scene.
This week we’ll go a bit more theory-heavy: we’ll expand on and deepen what you learned in Modules 1 and 2. We’ll cover topics like the project file system and folder structure, managing assets in the Content Browser, moving between projects, and taking a closer look at assets and Unreal Editor’s interface.
We’ll build an exterior scene fully set up for third-person (TPS) exploration. We’ll also cover how to use the Landscape and Foliage tools, plus how to source and import stock assets.
We’ll cover topics that will help you solve even more problems – at a higher level. We’ll talk about managing source files (whether you do it manually or with source control), the fundamentals of lighting, Sequencer, rendering, and how to export your final outputs.

So far, This Course Has Run 5 Times in Hungary
Take a Look at What Past Hungarian Students Have to Say About It

“The course was continuously well-structured from start to finish - it basically guided me the whole way. That’s exactly what I needed. And when questions came up, I could ask continuously and got immediate answers, so the whole thing really came together.”

“I loved that we started from the basics, so it wasn’t random jumping around. Whenever I had a problem, I got a response very quickly, and by the end everything felt much simpler and clearer.”

“What stood out most was how comprehensive and precise the course was. I also loved the clear structure - it was easy to look things up later, and whenever there was a question, you could answer.”

“After the first module I knew where to look for what - I felt much more confident in the interface. And the process you lead us through on building a scene felt more professional than what I tried to do on my own.”

I’m András Rónai – originally trained as an architect, but even at university I preferred spinning 3D models of buildings around instead of designing them on paper.
Since 2002, the 3D world has been pulling me in for 8 hours a day (sometimes 14). If I had to put a title on what I do, I’d probably go with Environment Artist. I’ve been using Unreal day-to-day since 2015, and I’ve been making a living from this skillset for years, mainly in archviz and filmmaking, working remotely from Hungary.
I’ve been working with Final Pixel for the last 5 years, and through them, I got into international virtual production projects. I had the luck to work with Oscar winner and Emmy-nominated professionals. The virtual environments I helped build were used in live broadcast and film productions featuring talents like Alyson Hannigan, Tyra Banks, Vivica A. Fox, and David Olusoga.
I was also flown to London a couple times for studio work. One of those projects was for Netflix’s Rebel Moon, where director Zack Snyder visited the event.

“What if I don’t like it?”
“What if this isn’t what I expected?”
“What if I realize environment art isn’t really my thing?”
“What if the teaching style just doesn’t click with me?”
All valid.
Here’s how I handle it: you have until the start of Module 3 to decide. That gives you enough time to go through the first two modules, experience the teaching style, see the pipeline in action, and figure out if this is the right fit for you.

And Why Is It Limited to Only the First 25 Applicants?
This first run is a Beta Workshop because it’s a pilot designed to make the experience as strong as possible before scaling it.
That’s why I’m limiting the spots to 25 people only: it’s a large enough group to properly test the training and gather enough feedback to make the production-ready version even stronger.
Anyway, there are a few things you should know:
I’m thinking long-term with this course.
My plan is to grow it into a full art-focused environment design program that gives you market-ready skills. Not just a course: a complete system that takes you from zero to portfolio-ready and beyond.
Here’s where it’s heading:
My goal is to build this into a premium training, something that is worth more than $1,500.
Right now, you can get in for a fraction of that – and every future update, every expansion, every new module is included for free.
This offer won’t be available in the next round – it’s a privilege reserved only for participants who put their trust in the beta version of the training.
This is what you get by this Beta program:
Because you’re joining the first international round and helping validate the experience, you get beta pricing. Future rounds will be priced higher once the program is fully standardized and packaged.
Feedback is not mandatory – but it’s incredibly valuable. If you can share what felt clear, what felt confusing, and what helped the most, you’ll directly influence how the final program is built.
This is a one-time Beta phase. The next run will be the production-ready, with a fixed curriculum flow, finalized schedule framework, and regular pricing.
If you want the highest level of access and the best price, this Beta round is the moment to join.
Ready to join? Just click the button:
Let’s sum up what you get if you decide to join:
Total value of $1,500.
If all this did was save you 6–9 months of figuring things out on your own – would it be worth it?
If all it did was give you one portfolio piece you could actually show to anyone – would it be worth it?
If all it did was give you a repeatable system so you never have to ‘figure out’ how to start an Unreal project again – would it be worth it?
You don’t have to answer yes to all three – just one.
Enrollment Is Open Until March 24, 2026 at 11:59 PM (Budapest Time, CET/CEST)
Since it’s a Beta program, seats are limited to 25 only (See why)
* Prices are gross amounts, applicable VAT is included
For payment in two installments, the second installment is due on Friday, April 24
All the Q&A That Have Ever Come Up About the Training
The modules will be released week by week to help you go through the material as effectively as possible.
You can go through the training in two ways:
In both cases, you’ll receive ongoing support through Discord.
The modules will be released according to the following schedule:
No – unlike the Bootcamp, the modules in this training are pre-recorded videos.
I’ve designed it this way because it’s the most effective way to learn. There are no fixed session times, the videos are more concise and focused (live sessions tend to have more downtime), and you can go through the material at your own pace, without getting tired after an hour.
You will have access to the Course Dashboard and videos for the full lifetime of the website. I’m planning long-term, so in practice that means many years (however, the General Terms & Conditions guarantee 365 days).
The Hungarian version of this course first ran in 2023 as part of a Beta Coaching program. Since then, I’ve launched four more rounds, and with each round the course has improved – cleaner sequencing, clearer explanations, and a smoother path to the first tangible result.
Because of that, the latest Hungarian version became a mature, well-tested system – and the Environment Workshop is an even more refined, upgraded version of that foundation.
Could it still evolve? Of course. But here’s the key point: if you decide to join, you’re not signing up for someone’s “first attempt.” You’re joining a course that’s been iterated, stress-tested, and improved across multiple rounds over three years – thoughtfully structured from start to finish.
You should have basic familiarity with the 3D world: know what modeling, texturing, lighting, and rendering mean.
Two of my Hungarian students successfully completed the local version without this kind of prior background: so lacking hands-on experience with 3D tools isn’t an automatic disqualifier. However, you do need the core concepts to follow along effectively.
For example, in Module 2 (where we build an interior scene), we bring models and textures from DCC apps into Unreal. If you don’t have basic 3D knowledge, that part will be hard to follow properly. That said, you’ll receive the source files during the course, so you will still have access to everything that gets imported from external tools.
Bottom line: it’s strongly recommended that you have basic 3D knowledge, even if you don’t yet have practical mastery of the specific software.
The most effective approach would be to spend a few weeks catching up on the fundamentals first, and only then start working through the Environment Workshop.
As mentioned above, the ideal situation is that you already have basic 3D knowledge (what modeling, texturing, lighting, rendering, etc. are) – even if you’re missing practical skill in specific tools.
If you haven’t learned even the basic fundamentals of 3D yet, and you’re still unsure whether the 3D world is your path at all, then I do not recommend joining.
In that case, spend a few months learning the absolute basics first. If you still feel drawn to 3D afterward – and Unreal specifically – then it will make sense to join.
You’ll need a computer that can run 3D games at a basic level. No sugar-coating: for Unreal (and real-time tools in general), sooner or later you’ll need at least an entry-level gaming PC.
With that said, these are the minimum requirements:
For more details on a minimum config, read the Instant PC Builder guide pdf that came as a bonus with the Bootcamp.
The Environment Workshop can be learned in 7 weeks, and in my experience 5-10 hours per week can be enough. That’s the minimum that will still help you get oriented and build practical skills.
If you want to move faster and more effectively, it’s worth investing more time – around 15-20 hours per week.
Unreal is complex, so active practice is necessary for the knowledge to stick and for you to handle it well in real projects. There are no miracles here: the more time and energy you invest into learning and practicing, the sooner you’ll produce results – and the better what you learn will stay with you.
The course will be delivered entirely in English.
You’ll get instant access to the course Dashboard where module videos, course resources, and links referenced are pusblished during the training.
The course officially starts on April 6 at 7:00 PM (Budapest time, CET/CEST), the first module will be released this day.
You’ll have access to the course for as long as this website exists (so for many many years).
First and most importantly: you’ll keep access to the course Dashboard and videos for the full lifetime of this website. I’m planning long-term, so in practice that means many many years.
You’ll also receive all future updates for this course, and you’ll get access to the materials from future rounds as well.
Your Discord access will remain, too – although after the course ends I can’t guarantee the same level of posting and rapid responses as during the live run (I will still make an effort though: even today questions still come in on Discord from past rounds, and I answer them).
In short: yes. If any of the training materials get iterated, you’ll automatically receive those updates once you’ve joined.
In more detail: I’m thinking long-term with this training.

Yes, another round is planned but it depends on a couple factors:
My goal is also to make this course more compact and more effective with every round – by adding new topics, improving existing explanations, updating resources, and sharpening the learning path. I want it to become an even stronger, more efficient support system for people who trust me to help them learn the Unreal environment workflow – and Unreal itself.
And because the course will deliver more value with each round, the pricing will reflect that: the next round will be more expensive.
With that in mind, decide based on what you need right now – remember, you’ll still get access to later materials even if you join now.
The enrollment deadline is on Tuesday, April 6, 2026 at 11:59 PM (Budapest time, CET/CEST). After that, enrollment closes and you won’t be able to join the course.
There’s only one supported payment method right now: credit/debit card payment, processed through Stripe.
I’ll definitely offer international bank wire transfer as a payment option in the future, but for now payment is only available by card.
Yes, you will receive an invoice that can be used for business expense accounting, via our invoicing system (Szamlazz.hu).
Important: if you need the VAT invoice to account for as a business expense, please indicate this when placing your order by filling in the company name and tax number or VAT number.
Please double-check that your billing details are correct – I can’t take responsibility for typos or incorrect information.
If you want more details about who issues the invoice, check the General Terms & Conditions (GTC), which includes all required company information.
